Usually I talk in English, Chogogo. I have many friends and contacts from China, Russia and other regions. They usually buy 2 or 3 homes in their home country if they have the possibility, since housing pricing goes through the roof. It is not unusual for an appartment to double in price after 3 years.
When their offspring goes to study in Amsterdam they are usaully wealthy enough to also buy an appartment in Amsterdam. Not always but sometimes they do just that. There is also a bunch of investors buying up properties in Amsterdam and in the region. However the Dutch goverment is trying to put laws in place to protect its citizen and to make Amsterdam affordable to a larger variety of people.
Investors are not really trying to take over other countries; they usually do it for the profit. In Amsterdam many big investors have used the opportunity of buying a property and using it as a bed & breakfast. Sometimes they never even went to Amsterdam; bought the property, contact locals and let them do the work.
However in Africa it's a different situation. China is trying to prepare for the future and make stronger relations now. Not only with Africa but also with Brasil, other asian countries, etc.
Chinese people are the most direct and business oriented people I know; if you are friends with them they will treat you really well. People are xenophobic; afraid of people just because they look different. Imagine everyone would look at each other like that.

Is that a new expression for C O L O N I S A T I O N ?
They offer terrible expensive infra structures, and if this poor people can't pay it back, they confiscate for 99 years strategic places in that country
