OPERATIONS Goldsource Mines:

Phase I Development (Pilot Plant) already built in 2015/16. Gravity only processing plant, open pit mine.
Mix of dry (truck-excavator) and wet mining (Marok pumping).
The Company currently operates the plant at lower volumes on selected days, to collect information for Large Scale Mining and PFS: A) operating costs & testing of dif. mining methods, B) metallurgical test work.
Gold ounces sold ease corporate cash calls.

EXPLORATION

Immediate focus is on increasing our saprolite resources to a minimum of 600,000 oz, grading 1.0-1.5 g/t, via expansion and in-fill drilling which started in late May 2017. Two core rigs purchased and currently active.
Add new gold ounces and upgrade inferred resources into the indicated category in an updated resource estimate (Q1 2018).
Metallurgical cyanidation testing on-going (Q1 2018)
An NI43-101 compliant Pre-Feasibility Study commenced in June 2017. Tetra Tech Inc. of Canada retained. Delivery H2 2018.

Wat zijn eigenlijk realistische aannames voor een bedrijf als Artemis? Nu betaal je op Frankfurt een dubbeltje. Hoe berekenen jullie voor jezelf een realistische koers over bv twee jaar? De goudprijs is een tijd laag geweest, dus ik neem aan dat ze de productie zo hebben opgezet dat het tegen de huidige prijzen nog steeds profijtelijk is, dus het moet omhoog gaan lijkt me.

Rainforest destruction from gold mining hits all-time high in Peru - CINCIA

Science Daily reported that small-scale gold mining has destroyed more than 170,000 acres of primary rainforest in the Peruvian Amazon in the past 5 years, according to a new analysis by scientists at Wake Forest University's Center for Amazonian Scientific Innovation (CINCIA). That's an area larger than San Francisco and 30 percent more than previously reported. Mr Luis Fernandez, executive director of CINCIA and research associate professor in the department of biology said "The scale of the deforestation is really shocking. In 2013, the first comprehensive look at Peruvian rainforest lost from mining showed 30,000 hectares. Five years later, we have found nearly 100,000 hectares of deforested landscape."

The scientists at CINCIA, based in the Madre de Dios region of Peru, have developed a new data fusion method to identify areas destroyed by this small- or artisanal-scale mining. Combining existing CLASlite forest monitoring technology and Global Forest Change data sets on forest loss, this new deforestation detection tool is 20-25 percent more accurate than those used previously.

Both CLASlite and the Global Forest map use different kinds of information from light waves to show changes in the landscape. "Combining the two methods gives us really good information about the specific kind of deforestation we're looking for," said Miles Silman, associate director of science for CINCIA and director of Wake Forest's Center for Energy, Environment, and Sustainability (CEES). Silman has researched biodiversity and ecology in the Western Amazon and Andes for more than 25 years.

Artisanal-scale gold mining has been hard to detect because its aftereffects can masquerade as natural wetlands from a satellite view. But the damage is extensive. Small crews of artisanal miners don't expect to hit the mother lode. Rather, miners set out to collect the flakes of gold in rainforest.

Mr Fernandez said that "We're not talking about huge gold veins here. But there's enough gold in the landscape to make a great deal of money in a struggling economy. You just have to destroy an immense amount of land to get it."

To get the gold, they strip the land of trees or suck up river sediment, and then use toxic mercury to tease the precious metal out of the dirt. The results are environmentally catastrophic.

Ik wil een beetje veilige exposure naar goud, middels bijv 2 aandelen. Met zilver zit ik te denken aan de EUR etf icm silver Wheaton. Goud bijv Kirkland icm IAMGOLD of B2Gold. Wat is jullie advies?

Ik heb wat Kirkland, de resultaten zijn veelbelovend vind ik. Had ze op 19 gekocht, toe gingen naar boven de 20, nu weer even gedipt, maar dat ga ik denk ik gebruiken om nog iets bij te kopen.

veilig zijn aandelen nooit en beslissingen moet iemand zelf nemen.
Mijn exposure naar goud zit in Goldsource Mines, zie eerdere onderbouwingen op dit draadje.

Ik ga denk ik voor de ETF VanEck vector gold mines, daar zitten ze samen allemaal in dus beetje gespreid (miners, streamer)

Niet zo slim om zoiets te kopen met 3-voudige leverage.

Dit soort ETF's worden door hoge kosten in snel tempo waardeloos.

Gaat goed omhoog de laatste tijd. Prima (gratis) tip van juli 2018 (Jack H.) Ik heb dit aandeel opgepikt vanaf 20 dollar, en zie dat de omzetten steeds wat hoger worden en dat er vooral kopers in de markt zitten. Er volgt zelfs een klein kwartaal dividend. Wellicht een goed aandeel voor als je het nog niet hebt opgenomen, en het een jaar of 2 de tijd geeft.

Ja, ik deel je gevoel Beowulf :) ik ga nog één mijn aankopen de komende dagen, want de goudprijs / zilverprijs gaat simpelweg stijgen. Het is alleen de kunst om het juiste aandeel op te pakken.
