Billionaire former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz responded to critics Tuesday, saying that it's not his potential presidential run as a centrist independent that will guarantee President Donald Trump's re-election, it's far-left progressives.

"If he runs against a far-left progressive person who is suggesting 60, 70 percent tax increases on the rich and a health care system we can't pay for, President Trump is going to get re-elected," Schultz said in an interview on ABC's "The View" on Tuesday.

Als deze quote klopt, is dat hopelijk het einde van zijn poging, aangezien hij in 1 adem tweekeer liegt. En het belastingsysteem niet begrijpt. Niemand stelt een 60,70 % tax hike voor. En het healthcare voorstel? Duur, maar onbetaalbaar? Da's een kwestie van prioriteiten stellen.

Opmerkelijk dat trump hem aanvalt, alsof hij hem uitdaagt:

“Howard Schultz doesn’t have the ‘guts’ to run for President!” Trump wrote. “Watched him on @60Minutes last night and I agree with him that he is not the ‘smartest person.’ Besides, America already has that!”

The head of US intelligence has said that North Korea is “unlikely to give up” its nuclear weapons because its leadership sees them as “critical to regime survival” – in comments which contrasted sharply with Donald Trump’s own assessment.

Daniel Coats, the director of national intelligence, made his assessment in a written statement on “worldwide threats” to the Senate on Tuesday, which was noteworthy for the many ways it differed from the rhetoric favoured by the president and his top aides.

The gaps were not only evident on North Korea, but also on Iran’s nuclear programme, the continuing threat of the Islamic State in Syria and on the importance of climate change. The distance between the White House and its intelligence agencies was highlighted further in verbal testimony to the Senate intelligence committee by Coats, alongside the heads of the CIA, DIA and NSA who also testified.

Jaarlijks verhuizen vele duizenden kinderen noodgedwongen, moeten al dan niet tijdelijk bij hun school en hun vriendjes weg, van wie velen naar het buitenland gaan, omdat pappa en/of mamma ergens anders gaat werken.
En dan is er óók nog 'ik vertrek', of nóg erger: naar de Kaapverdische eilanden...
Maar alleen de kindertjes van uitgeprocedeerde asielzoekers zijn zielig...

En de aanpak door Wilders van D666: wél staan achter rechterlijke uitspraken inzake CO2, en niet staan achter rechterlijke uitspraken inzake immigratie?

Het punt is niet of NK de wapens nog heeft, het punt is dat trump meningen heeft die zijn intelligence niet onderschrijven.

Op welke basis formuleert de VS buitenlandbeleid? Op trump's onderbuik gevoel of op basis van intelligence?

The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but....
....a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!

The remark by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., came a day before Republican and Democratic congressional bargainers begin meetings aimed at striking a deal on a border security package. It was the latest sign that both sides are suggesting flexibility and trying to look reasonable as talks begin.

“It could be barrier. It doesn’t have to be a wall,” McCarthy told reporters.

Praten we hier over de zelfde veiligheidsdiensten die beweerde dat Saddam Hoessein massavernietigingswapens had en dat het binnen vallen van Iraq een goed idee was. En in theorie moeten deze mensen ook weer naar school omdat ze alleen maar geleerd hebben van uit een oogpunt dat Amerika de baas moest spelen over de hele wereld waar Trump geen zin meer in heeft.

That's still better than his overall approval rating—AP-NORC had it at an awful 34 percent—but it's not a great assessment of the job he has done with the economy, especially considering that figure had long hovered around 50 percent.

The survey found, however, that Republicans still largely approved of how Trump has handled numerous facets of the economy. Eighty-five percent approved of his handling of the economy overall, 82 percent of trade negotiations and 78 percent on taxes.

Engagements outside the United States could cost considerably more, these people said.

In her October resignation letter, Haley said she would be taking a "step up" into the private sector after leaving the U.N. At the rate quoted for her engagements, just a handful would pay down more than $1 million in outstanding debt that was accrued during her 14 years of public service, according to a public financial disclosure report based on 2017 data.
