BLA betekent verhoogde kans voor goedkeuring van Vicinium, hun middel tegen blaaskanker. Zie bijlage. Fase 1 en 2 laten zien dat Vicinium goed wordt verdragen en werkt. De markt voor blaaskanker is huge. Een miljardenindustrie. Maar het blijft biotech. Zekerheid heb je nooit helaas. Indien BLA een feit is, ben je maandag zeker niet te laat denk ik

Iemand van StockTwits (EnglishKaren) heeft contact gezocht met Steve O'Loughlin van Actinium Pharmaceuticals. Deze email kreeg ik gister daarover:

Hi everyone,

I've just spoken to Steve O. He apologized again for not getting back to me. I asked him directly "are the time frames shown on the Investor Presentation accurate as of today" he said yes they are accurate based on our knowledge and certain scenario's and possibilities. I replied how can they be when we haven't even had 50% enrollment yet. Steve: "because one possibility is that the trial can be stopped early". Now he didn't say it would be, but I do feel that it is a real strong possibility. He was very upbeat. He couldn't confirm anything about 50% enrollment right now as it isn't public information yet.

He did mention that Hans the new IR guy will answer any questions if we emailed him. Of course, they can only confirm what is already public information.

I conveyed our frustration about the non contact and updates and expressed to him that in this day and age social media is part of running a business. Although he explained that they are more concerned with their actual business he said that he would definitely take it on board, so I'm hopeful we will see more activity regarding social media/website updates etc. I said if President Trump can use Twitter to reach people then they could too. He agreed lol.

He also said they were very excited about Dr.Niva Almaula joining their team as she has excellent contacts and if anyone can get a deal done, she can.

I also asked about Astellas, but obviously he could not discuss. He did confirm that they are on the last module with them 3/3.

I've done as much as I can right now. We continue to wait. I suppose we have to take some comfort in that we are nearer now than last year and continue to hold until approval or ???.

Geeft mij toch weer iets meer vertrouwen in Actinium moet ik zeggen. Ik hou mijn aandelen nog even stevig vast, zeker nu ze all-time low staan.

En wat is er in godsnaam met Nabriva aan de hand? Intussen zit de koers op 1,90 en is de bodem op 2,20 aan stukken geslagen.

We hadden Provention moeten hebben. Vandaag plus 300 procent. Helaas gemist.

positive trial data on lead candidate teplizumab (PRV-031), in Phase 3 development for the interception of type 1 diabetes (T1D). The results were presented at the American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions in San Francisco.
The Phase 2 study, conducted by the Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet, enrolled 76 subjects aged 8 - 49 who were at-risk to develop T1D due to abnormal glucose metabolism or the presence of at least two T1D autoantibodies. Most (72%) were under the age of 18. Participants were randomized to receive teplizumab or placebo.
The results showed that a single 14-day course of teplizumab delayed the onset and diagnosis of T1D by a median of two years compared to control. Specifically, the median time to diagnosis in the treatment group was 48 months versus just over 24 months for placebo (p=0.006). During the trial, 43% of patients receiving teplizumab developed clinical diabetes compared to 72% of patients receiving placebo.
No new safety signals were observed.
The company is evaluating a registration path in the at-risk population.
A Phase 3 study, PROTECT, launched in April. Its objective is to assess teplizumab's effect on slowing the loss/preserving the function of beta cells in children and adolescents recently diagnosed (in the previous eight weeks) with T1D.
Teplizumab is an anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody that suppresses the expression of T cells. T1D is an autoimmune disorder caused by the overactivation of T lymphocytes on insulin-producing beta cells.

bij Bio is het soms niet evident om het te snappen, de logice gaat me soms voorbij; in dit geval zou de vertraging naar Q4 mss wel de reden kunnen zijn

de stijging bij Provention van 200-300% lijkt me ook ver overdreven ... ik zie dat het gemiddeld koersdoel 6.75 is, de koers noteert 14 USD ...

Haha idd. Deja-vu momentje. Het blijft toch enorm lastig om de pareltjes er tussenuit te pikken...

Overdrijving past goed bij biotech :-)
Ondertussen staat die koers wel mooi op de borden, overdreven of niet. Kort na opening zelfs 22 gezien.
Koersdoelen zeggen mij trouwens niks.

Actinium? Tja..misschien gaat het wel richting 22-23 maar ik kan niet geloven dat het dit jaar onder de 20 gaat. Voorlopig weer even geld, en er moet toch nieuws gaan komen over de P3 komende maanden. Dat er sinds vorige week een nieuwe vacature staat voor manager business development is mijns inziens goed nieuws. Met het verhaal van Steve in dat daglicht, is mijn vertrouwen de laatste dagen wel toegenomen moet ik zeggen.
