De overnamekans zal blijven, maar waarschijnlijk eerder over twee jaar plaatsvinden als de pipeline meer gerijpt is (en ze nog geen commerciële partner hebben). Naast Hemofilie B, kan men dan ook mogelijk resultaten Huntington, Hemofolie A en Fabry voorleggen. Gecombineerd met de manufacturing, IP en pre-klinische programma's is dat een mooie troef.
De timing van de offering had wel eerder gemogen. Het is niet de eerste keer dat institutionele beleggers ogenschijnlijk 'gunstig' kunnen instappen.
Vraag blijft wel wat QURE écht met het geld gaat doen. Is er vertraging? Moet BMY uitgekocht worden? Wil men de commercialisatie zelf optuigen? Nieuwe programma's versnellen? Een betere onderhandelpositie verwerven? De timing is nooit toevallig.
