Als ik hem zag dacht ik meestal..omg.. och daar heb je hem weer..met hij zoal vond van USA..met zijn beschouwingen..zapte meteen weg. Niet omdat ik mezelf een pro Trump vind ook niet contra..observeer alleen. :)

Impeachment zal zeker niet lukken, geen enkele grond voor.
Slechts onderzoeken die op niets zijn uitgelopen, aantijgingen beschuldigingen allemaal op basis van hear say. Maar goed dat heeft iedereen kunnen volgen.
Trump zit er nog t/m 2024. De Dems moeten gewoon met een hele goede kandidaat komen en dan Trump proberen te verslaan. Wat ze nu aan het doen zijn(al 3 jaar!) schieten ze niets mee op, ik noem het schieten in eigen voet.
Zoals altijd, ga voor inhoud.

Kan je lachen :) en waarschijnlijk zal er gezegd worden dat dit positief is en een goed teken zodat de markten verder kunnen stijgen ;)

De beste man en zijn team zijn al druk bezig om de boel weer te bespelen, zie ook op dit draadje de eerdere tweet van gisteren.

1 kort stukje: As Mueller reports, “Substantial evidence indicates that the President’s effort to have Sessions limit the scope of the Special Counsel’s investigation to future election interference was intended to prevent further investigative scrutiny of the President’s and his campaign’s conduct.”

As a criminal matter, this fact pattern seems to me uncomplicated: If true and provable beyond a reasonable doubt, it is unlawful obstruction of justice. Full stop.

Het gesprek tussen trump en Zelenskyy, zoals samengevat en geredacteerd door het WH geeft aan dat er druk werd uitgeoefend door trump op Zelenskyy om met info over een Amerikaanse staatsburger op de proppen te komen teneinde deze staatsburger zwart te maken in de ogen van het Amerikaanse volk. Dat is impeachment waardig.
Daarna werd er alles aan gedaan om dit niet naar buiten te laten komen.

Dat is obstruction. Diverse keren.

Na het horen van getuigen die direct het gesprek hebben gehoord , staat de conclusie nog steed dat trump 'dirt' wilde van Zelenskyy.

En we weten nu ook dat dit niet alleen tijdens het gesprek even werd aangestipt, maar dat dit een campagne was van diverse maanden, onder leiding van Guiliani.

Het argument dt het hear say is, is nonsens. Het argument dat er geen Quid pro Quo is ook nonsens. En beide ontkracht.
Het arguemnt dat de procure niet goed gevogld is is nonsens. En ontrkacht.

Als je het nrmaal vind dat een president een vreemde mogendheid aanspoort op straffe van het verliezen van door het congress geapproprieerde fondsen verzinsels de wereld in te slingeren om een mogelijke politiek rivaal het leven zuur te maken, dan is dat jou ethsihe probleem.
Maar voor een Amerikaanse president is dat onacceptabel, en een reden voor impeachment. Obstruction of Justice is dat ook.

We zullen zien of de Senaat ballen heeft of zich laat muilkorven. Nu eerst openbare hoorzittingen.

Exclusive: White House Ignored Pentagon Warning on Ukraine Funding

As the summer wore on, and President Donald Trump would not budge on his decision to withhold almost $400 million in military aid for Ukraine, the Pentagon warned the White House: If its portion of the money wasn’t released quickly, the Defense Department would not be able to spend it before the fiscal year ended on September 30.

The Pentagon even gave the White House a deadline. In late July, as panic spread within the administration over the president’s worrisome decision, the National Security Council led a series of interagency meetings to discuss what to do about the military assistance to Ukraine. At one of these meetings, Defense Department officials told the White House that if the $250 million in security assistance was not released by August 6, it would not be able to spend it all by the end of the fiscal year, according to two sources familiar with the deliberations.

The Defense Department’s message was clear: If the White House didn’t act, the Pentagon would be left with unobligated funds — money that would return to the U.S. Treasury and never make its way to Ukraine. And the Pentagon was also clear that providing Ukraine the security assistance was in the national security interests of the United States, on that point Trump’s Cabinet agreed.

“At every meeting, the unanimous conclusion was that the security assistance should be resumed, the hold lifted,” Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, said in his opening statement to House investigators last week.

As for corruption, the pretext being given for why the funding was being withheld, the Pentagon had certified in May that the “Government of Ukraine has taken substantial actions to make defense institutional reforms for the purposes of decreasing corruption [and] increasing accountability.” When asked over the summer to perform an analysis of the effectiveness of the military aid, the Defense Department took one day to conclude the assistance was effective and should be resumed, Taylor testified.

In late July, the Pentagon also alerted the White House that if the funding wasn’t released in time, the Pentagon would be at risk of violating the Impoundment Control Act, which punishes the executive branch when it doesn’t spend money that Congress has appropriated, the sources said.

Consider a list of Trump’s major deregulatory efforts, many of which involve allowing companies to pollute more.

Yes, there are a few identifiable, isolated winners from this agenda. Like, imagine you run a company whose business model depends on dumping lead, mercury or arsenic into the water; pumping methane or fine particulates into the air; or using pesticides that give kids brain damage. Sure, recently loosened restrictions on these toxic activities might fatten your profit margins.

But whether such policy changes significantly boost the overall economy is a different question entirely.

One reason to distrust the administration’s claims about these regulatory rollbacks: In its official cost-benefit analyses of such changes, it has used a lot of shady — one might say dishonest — assumptions. In other words, it’s cooking the books.

For instance, in some cases it has thrown out solid scientific studies that happen to produce inconvenient results. In others, it has disqualified large categories of benefits historically counted in such assessments. It has also arbitrarily scaled back estimates for the social cost of carbon. And so on.

These are all wonky, technical accounting changes that go largely unnoticed by the public. That’s by design. The goal is to make Trump’s deregulatory efforts look like they’re turbocharging the economy.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman also testified on Tuesday that the National Security Council staffer, Kash Patel, fed the president disinformation about Ukraine.

The decorated Army officer who testified to House investigators on Tuesday told lawmakers that a close associate of Republican Rep. Devin Nunes “misrepresented” himself to President Donald Trump in an effort to involve himself further in Ukraine policy, according to two people familiar with his closed-door deposition.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the National Security Council’s top Ukraine expert, told lawmakers that after attending Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s inauguration in May as part of a delegation led by Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Vindman had been looking forward to debriefing Trump and giving a positive account of Zelensky’s vision for Ukraine’s future.

“The U.S. government policy community’s view is that the election of Zelenskyy and the promise of reforms to eliminate corruption will lock in Ukraine’s Western-leaning trajectory, and allow Ukraine to realize its dream of a vibrant democracy and economic prosperity,” Vindman said in his opening statement.

But he was instructed “at the last second” not to attend the debriefing, Vindman told lawmakers, because Trump’s advisers worried it might confuse the president: Trump believed at the time that Kashyap Patel, a longtime Nunes staffer who joined the White House in February and had no discernible Ukraine experience or expertise, was actually the NSC’s top Ukraine expert instead of Vindman.

Vindman testified that he was told this directly by his boss at the time, NSC senior director for European and Russian affairs Fiona Hill.

Hill told Vindman that she and national security adviser John Bolton thought it best to exclude Vindman from the debriefing to avoid “an uncomfortable situation,” he said.

POLITICO previously reported that Hill testified that Trump thought Patel was in charge of Ukraine policy for the NSC, but Vindman’s exclusion from a key Ukraine meeting because of concerns over a potential conflict with Trump has not been disclosed before.

It helps explain why the president tweeted on Tuesday that he’d never met Vindman despite his clear interest in Ukraine — senior officials have said that Trump directed them to consult with his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on matters of Ukraine policy.

And Vindman’s exclusion sheds even more light on the unusual steps top NSC officials were taking as early as May to avoid angering or annoying Trump on Ukraine issues — and the unusual level of access Patel had to the president.

“It’s crazy,” said one person familiar with Vindman’s testimony. “Vindman should have been in that meeting.”

Vindman also testified that he was told Patel had been circumventing normal NSC process to get negative material about Ukraine in front of the president, feeding Trump’s belief that Ukraine was brimming with corruption and had interfered in the 2016 election on behalf of Democrats.

House Rules Committee zit nu in vergadering bijeen. Men bereidt de tekst voor, die morgen in het House gepresenteerd zal worden en waarbij er een stemming zal plaatsvinden om te starten met de openbare impeachment hoorzittingen.

Impeachment procedure

John Bolton is uitgenodigd te verschijnen op een hoorzitting van het House Committee, volgende week donderdag 7 November.

Gezien de manier waarop hij door Trump aan de kant gezet is kunnen we wel wat vuurwerk verwachten, waar Trump niet echt blij mee is.
Bolton was als National Security Adviser direct betrokken met Trump's contacten met President Zelensky van Oekraïne.
