Voor diegene die er aan twijfelt of twijfel blijft zaaien over de aanvraag, die Novacyt heeft gedaan om de Amerikaanse markt te kunnen bestrormen, lees onderstaand bericht.

Men geeft hierin aan dat ze, met spoed, toestemming hebben aangevraagd en zelfs al testen aan ziekenhuizen hebben verkocht om deze alvast te kunnen waarderen op hun werking.

Biotech company Novacyt has applied to the US Food and Drug Administration for the Emergency Use Approval for its novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) test, developed by its subsidiary Primerdesign.

The approval will enable the use of nCoV test for clinical diagnostic testing in laboratories temporarily.

The company claims that it is working with the FDA to indicate consistency and performance of the test for emergency use.

Novacyt is also in discussion with several NHS hospitals and Public Health England on the nCoV test.

The firm has already sold a limited number of tests to some hospitals so that they can validify.

Since the declaration of 2019-nCoV outbreak as a global emergency on 30 January 2020 by the WHO, the company claims that it has seen strong demand for its nCoVtest.

Vandaag gaan de, met Europese goedkeuring, verkopen in Europa van start.
Verwacht dat de reeds verkochte tests 65000 zullen groeien richting 500.000 stuks.
Amerikaanse FDA kan niet langer achter blijven met de goedkeuring, ook vanwege de snelle verspreiding van het corona virus.

Ja, volgens dit artikel heeft de Chief Executive het volgende gezegd:

Mullis said the tests, to be sold for up to 5 pounds ($6.47) each, would be produced in Britain. ($1 = 0.7733 pounds)

Terugzakken naar rond de 1,20 zal waarschijnlijk eerst moeten plaats vinden voordat er een nieuwe stijging aan gaat komen.

20-02-2020 is inderdaad een mooiere datum om de FDA goedkeuring bekend te maken.
