De grafiek van het koersverloop, sinds mei dit jaar, toen ze even boven 12€ stonden, vertoont niet echt een trend die mij vertrouwen geeft. Voor de duidelijkheid, ik ben bezitter van Biocartis aandelen en ik hoop dat het tij gaat keren, maar dan zal de wind toch uit een andere richting moeten gaan waaien.

You are correct that the medium and short term trends are negative. If BCART breaks the support at $9.65 it would be very negative. That said, I tend to look more at fundamentals rather than technical factors. The potential developments I mentioned would change the trajectory in the blink of an eye. Updates on this type of news is most likely to occur in conjunction with the financial results release. I'm thinking that a retest of the $9.65 low will occur in the next two weeks. The early Sept press releases will allow BCART to put a bottom in.

Waarom in godsnaam in fora zitten voor aandelen waar men niet in gelooft ? U bent een expert in molecular diagnostics ? Met opmerkingen van "Biocartis werkt met een verliesmodel" ... lijkt me dit onwaarschijnlijk.

I agree with your frustration. I appreciate negative opinions and short seller comments. Perhaps there is an angle of my investment in BCART that has overlooked something. Black Knight, please offer an opinion on why some of the events I cite as potential inflection points where sales ramp are incorrect. Even better, back it up with a fact or two. Stupid people don't acknowledge if they overlooked something in their investments.

All this said, I've had to curtail adding to my BCART position. The brokerage I use will no longer allow purchases of BCART shares thru a European broker. Trump probably is probably shutting it down in retribution for not selling him Greenland. Never mind that it is Belgium and not the Netherlands. It's all the same in his mind.

Ik heb er nog wat bijgekocht naar aanleiding van het nieuws van deze morgen.
Als ze een speciale aandeelhoudersvergadering organiseren om de voorwaarden te wijzigen in geval van change of control, dan speelt het overnamescenario duidelijk mee.
De nieuwe CEO heeft natuurlijk ook de reputatie mee om alle bedrijven waar hij CEO was of opgericht heeft op relatief korte termijn te verkopen.

Unusual that Biocartis could be contemplated as an acquisition target given how far its earnings are from being accretive. The GHDX-EXAS combination would be a likely candidate since BCART is central to their EU and rest of world expansion.

Is it typical to call a meeting of this nature without releasing specifics? Guess we get the details as we approach Sept 5.

You bought the open? You must believe this marks a change. BCART almost always weakens into the market close.

My impression is that this was a placeholder announcement. There must be a 30 day notice requirement for such a shareholder meeting and vote. The fact that they notified of the meeting with no specifics suggests that we will see something with more details in the next couple of day.

I googled Article 556 of the Belgian Companies Code of 7 May 1999,

The discussion under 2.3 makes it sound as if the BCART offering is following the hostile path (i.e., meeting scheduled first). It is quite possible and probably more likely that the share ownership is so widely disseminated that it is impossible to proceed in any other manner. Even if the two biggest shareholders (Invesco and JnJ) agreed it would still be less than 25% of shares. The website suggests that Belgium law may require agreement by 75% of shareholders.

I'm probably well out ahead of myself, but it looks like the small shareholders could be important to hit the necessary threshold. Time for me to shut up and wait for BCART to release more details.

The reference to Article 556 of the Belgian Companies Code seems to indicate it will be sold. I ruled Kite out based on the fact that the the Kite deal was announced a couple months ago and they have not had sufficient time to prove proof of concept,
