Goedemorgen iedereen

De zon schijnt en het is droog en er zijn al enige inhoudelijke reacties geplaatst die goed zouden kunnen zijn dus wat mij betreft alle ingrediënten aanwezig om ervoor te zorgen dat ons AM vandaag boven de € 12 sluit.

Voor daghandelaren en speculanten zijn het geweldige en spannende tijden op de beurs. Het advies is om je niet te laten leiden door de grote koersschommelingen en vooral rustig te blijven, ook al is dat misschien best lastig. Naast al het 'breaking news' over de spelers in de handelsoorlog zijn er namelijk ook nog andere berichten. En die zijn helemaal zo slecht nog niet.

Ataer Holding, a subsidiary of Turkey's state military retirement scheme Oyak, said on Friday it is in "exclusive" talks to acquire British Steel, which went insolvent in May this year.

"During the exclusivity period, close negotiations to be held with customers, suppliers, employees and trade unions is significant for the future success of British Steel," a statement from Ataer said. The company holds a 49.3% stake in the largest steel manufacturer in Turkey, Erdemir.

British Steel went insolvent after it failed to get a financial injection of £30 million from the government. British media has been reporting that Ataer has emerged as the most likely buyer of the manufacturer valued at between £60 million and £70 million.

Dit aandeel doet het zo goed, dat als je short had gegaan per 9 okt 2018 dan had je nu 58 % gemaakt, zo goed gaat het met MT.

Fire at ArcelorMittal Poland Krakow Steelworks Coke Conveyor Belt Extinguished

ArcelorMittal Poland announced that that was taken yesterday afternoon by the coke conveyor belt at the Krakow steelworks was extinguished. It said “The fire was extinguished by the plant fire brigade and the PSP unit. After a detailed review of the installation status, we will be able to assess the extent of damage. We don't know the reason for the fire yet. A thorough investigation will be carried out on this matter.”

It had said on August 14th “Please be advised that this afternoon a coke conveyor belt caught fire in the Krakow steelworks. Our in-house fire brigade works together with PSP units. The smoke is visible from afar, because the conveyor belt is located at a height of several meters above the ground. The fire is not spreading. We informed the Provincial Fire Brigade Headquarters and the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection about the event.”

SCUNTHORPE - Het Turkse militaire pensioenfonds Oyak is in exclusieve gesprekken om de failliete staalmaker British Steel over te nemen. Dat doet het fonds, dat meer dan 19 miljard dollar aan bezittingen heeft, via zijn dochter Ataer. Ataer heeft nu twee maanden de tijd om afspraken te maken met klanten, toeleveranciers, werknemers en vakbonden.

De Britse Insolvency Service, dat de liquidatie van het bedrijf overziet, bevestigde de exclusieve gesprekken met Ataer. Volgens de dienst hebben de Turken een "acceptabel" bod gedaan.

British Steel vroeg in mei uitstel van betaling aan. Dat was drie jaar nadat investeerder Greybull Capital het bedrijf had overgenomen van het Indiase Tata Steel voor 1 pond. Bij British Steel werken ongeveer 5000 mensen. Het Britse staalbedrijf is ook eigenaar van het Nederlandse FN Steel in Alblasserdam.

Oyak is in eigen land de grootste aandeelhouder van staalbedrijf Erdemir.

Onlangs gingen we hard onderuit vanwege de rentecurve in Amerika.
Nu zeggen analisten bij UBS dat de inversie van de rentecurve eerder in de week een signaal was over de zorgen over de groei buiten de VS. "Statistisch gezien zien we dat de Duitse obligaties bewegingen veroorzaken in Amerikaanse staatsobligaties, in plaats van andersom. In wezen zien we weinig excessen of onevenwichtigheden in de Amerikaanse economie die kunnen leiden tot een instorting van de groei," schreven de strategen.

We zijn dus zomaar voor niets gedaald vanuit paniek eigenlijk.

Moody's Downgrades thyssenkrupp To Ba3

Moody's Investors Service downgraded to Ba3 from Ba2 the corporate family rating and to Ba3-PD from Ba2-PD the probability of default rating of German steel and diversified industrial company thyssenkrupp AG. Concurrently, Moody's has downgraded to Ba3 from Ba2 the ratings on the group's senior unsecured debt instruments, including the downgrade to (P)Ba3 from (P)Ba2 of the ratings on the debt issuance programme. Moody's has further affirmed the short-term ratings of tk at NP/(P)NP. The outlook on all ratings has been changed to stable from rating under review. This rating action concludes the review for downgrade, which Moody's initiated on 14 May 2019.

The downgrade to Ba3 follows tk's weak results for the third fiscal quarter ended 30 June 2019 (Q3-18/19), which led to a further deterioration in its Moody's-adjusted leverage and free cash flow metrics. The rating agency also believes that it will take longer than previously anticipated for tk to improve its profitability and negative free cash flow generation in light of an increasingly challenging economic environment. Particularly sluggish demand from the automotive industry negatively impacted profitability in the group's Components Technology, Materials Services and the re-integrated Steel Europe business areas. Margins in SE were additionally burdened by a surge in raw material costs, especially for iron ore, which reached a multi-year high in June due to supply shortages. Although the Elevator Technology business recorded higher sales and better margins in Q3-18/19, and losses in the Industrial Solutions and Marine Systems divisions could be significantly reduced, this was insufficient to offset the material profit decline in the other businesses.

Moody’s said that the stable outlook assumes that tk will retain a healthy liquidity profile and be able to gradually strengthen the profitability across all business areas and return to positive free cash flows by 2020/21. The outlook also reflects Moody's expectation of tk to successfully execute its new strategy, including the proposed IPO of ET, and use related cash proceeds primarily for debt reduction.

Zou AM het voor elkaar gaan krijgen..gewoon weer de min in zo. Iig als us opengaat en de normale afstort begint om 15.30. Maar daarna? Eindelijk een keer positief sluiten?

inmiddels al weer een dikke 1,6 procent er bij dus we gaan dik in het groen sluiten en toch nog met klein beetje positief gevoel het weekend in.
