Het aandeel TomTom koerst skyhigh op de aankondiging van een joint venture met AutoNavi, een Chinese leverancier van digitale kaarten en navigatieoplossingen. Het aandeel TomTom noteert vandaag (8 oktober) rond 11.45 uur 9,2 procent hoger op zes euro, terwijl de AEX 0,5 procent verliest.

Das war einmal .... in 2010 ..... TT heeft Autonavi in het zadel geholpen wellicht ..... benieuwd wat er nog over is van die joint venture met Autonavi

Via het samenwerkingsverband krijgt het Nederlandse bedrijf toegang tot digitale kaarten en real-time verkeersdiensten in een standaard TomTom-format. "Hierdoor krijgen onze klanten toegang tot de hoogste kwaliteit kaartgegevens en geavanceerde functies die in China bestaan binnen het standaard TomTom-format", zegt bestuurder Alain De Taeye van TomTom tegen Dow Jones Nieuwsdienst.

AutoNavi krijgt een belang van 51 procent in de joint-venture en TomTom de resterende 49 procent. Financiele details werden niet bekendgemaakt. Analisten van banken vinden de aangekondigde samenwerking zinvol. De Chinese markt is notoir moeilijk te betreden door strenge regelgeving, een hoge kostenbasis, intensieve concurrentie en grote mate van piraterij. TomTom hoeft ook slechts beperkt te investeren, hoewel de opbrengsten onzeker zijn. Het bedrijf is laat met het betreden van de Chinese markt.

Alibaba had er 40% premie voor over toen
Het bod per American depositary share (ADR), vier aandelen AutoNavi, bedraagt 21 dollar. Dat was bij het uitbrengen van het bod op 10 februari 2014 een premie van bijna 40 procent over de laatste 60 handelsdagen.

Dat is bij lange na niet de hier, al jaren, genoemde € 17,50
En past geheel niet bij de koers die hoort bij het 'dividendpotentieel' van TomTom zoals ons PietParticulieren hier 'geleerd' wordt.

Nieuwe super-accu van 3000 euro: tien minuten laden, 400 kilometer rijden

De perfecte accu voor elektrische auto’s lijkt nu echt in zicht. Ingenieurs van Penn State University in de Verenigde Staten hebben een prototype gemaakt dat bewijst: Elektrisch rijden kan net zo gebruiksvriendelijk zijn als rijden in een diesel- of benzine-auto.

Het prototype van de accu hangt van waanzinnige statistieken aan elkaar. Behalve de korte oplaadtijd van tien minuten en zeer lage productiekosten, zo’n 3000 euro, gaat de accu ongeveer 3,2 miljoen kilometer mee. Volgens de universiteit zijn de accu's de laboratorium-fase al voorbij en zijn er al diverse praktijktesten gedaan.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Audi and Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group agreed on Nov. 19 2020 to cement their strategic cooperation on such fields as automotive navigation system and in-car digital assistant services.

Under the cemented collaboration, Audi's next-generation vehicle platform will develop a navigation system that satisfy Chinese users' usage behaviors based on the navigation engine and service offered by AutoNavi, an Alibaba-owned mapping and location-based service provider. Besides, the platform will introduce Tmall Genie's in-car intelligent assistant to improve the connectivity between home and vehicles.

Audi and Alibaba's cooperation on navigation system can date back to 2006 when AutoNavi started providing mapping data service for Audi’s car owners.

After tightening the tie-up, AutoNavi will integrate its capabilities in navigation software, navigation map data and high-precision data into Audi's new-generation in-car infotainment system. It will supply Audi with the high-definition (HD) map based on highly automated driving functions and the HD map data related to the expressways and urban freeways nationwide as well as the urban roads of many cities. Those product and data are set to be used in Audi's next-generation vehicle platform.

Audi gaat vanaf 2024 elektrische wagens produceren in China
In het kader van de lokale productie van volledig elektrische modellen gaat Audi gaat nog dit kwartaal - na goedkeuring door de Chinese autoriteiten - een joint venture opzetten met de Chinese constructeur FAW (First Automobile Works) Group, waarin het samen met moederconcern Volkswagen een belang van 60 procent neemt.

In de drie decennia dat Audi actief is in China - de grootste automarkt te wereld, ook in elektrische wagens - kende de Duitse autobouwer er ondanks de coronacrisis zijn beste jaar ooit: goed voor 727.000 verkochte wagens.

In Changchun, een provinciestad met meer dan 2 miljoen inwoners, komt een nieuwe fabriek waar vanaf 2024 elektrische luxewagens van Audi van de band zullen rollen. Deze zijn uitsluitend bestemd voor de Chinese markt.

Het betreft alleen maar Traffic Info..... maar de samenwerking en join venture met AutoNavi en Alibaba is er nog steeds. Voor wat hoort wat .... dus de Chinese modellen van NIO, Xpeng, etc. die met AutoNavi werken voor Azie kunnen mooi via AutoNavi of rechtstreeks de kaarten van Europa en VS van TT afnemen. Voor de cijfers de 10 achter ons laten zou geweldig zijn.
Echter zoals aangegeven verwacht ik een algehele correctie die vrijdag reeds is ingezet.

Sygic draait op Tom Tom kaarten, kost 1malig rond de 40 euro.

Prettige zondag en kan mij geen hogere koers voorstellen tot de cijfers .
Prettige zondag en verwacht een eventuele outlook met mitsen en maren en een twijfelende ondertoon.

In ieder geval geen uitspraken, die de koers 20% laten stijgen.

Maar ja, het is maar een mening.

2014-2021 voor elk jaar 10% erbij kom je minimaal op 110% = € 21,00 maar daarvoor doe ik ze niet weg Wereldbelegger. ;-))

Zoals vorig weekend al opgemerkt mag TT hier wel een persbericht aan wijden, dat TT Amigo en GO beschikbaar zijn op Android Auto sinds afgelopen week

At first glance, the app really seemed to us very clean and well done. When you first start there are no side menus that interfere with the view of the map, and in the lower right corner of the interface is always clearly visible indication of the road restrictions and the current speed.

The interaction is mainly entrusted with action buttons located on the top edge, which if necessary disappear with a simple and accurate disappearance animation.

Among these buttons there is one for add reports directly from the car screen (even if the icon is a bit unambiguous and seems to be used to add a scene in the way). Reports may be about a speed camera, congestion, a closed road or unfinished construction. Sorry, once you have selected the alert type no confirmation screen ask if you really want to add a flag. Therefore, there is no sensitivity to user errors, and if an error has been made regarding the type of report, it is impossible to undo the operation.

It is possible change the map view which varies between 3D and 2D with North at the top. Recall that, thanks to the choice of Google, applications developed with the official library of Android Auto, do not interact with the click. So even in the case of TomTom AmiGO the card cannot be dragged or increase.

Very good too alarm cameras for traffic lights and speed cameras. The app clearly shows what alarms are present on the road, and shows the missing meters when it is reached. Also, when the road boundary is exceeded part of the interface starts flashing to attract the driver’s attention.

After submitting the report, the app invites you to let people know if it is valid and still present, with a missing notification.

In short, as the very first version compatible with Android Auto, I must say that the work of TomTom was very good, and the wait for the release was more than rewarded. Finally, the range of apps available on the Google platform is expanding, and AmiGO is definitely a true alternative to the already existing Google Maps, Waze and, more recently, Sygic.

(Real time volgens Alain De Taeye the holy grail) op dat gebied kunnen Amap en Baidu Apollo HD Map TomTom wel gebruiken.

Ook ik zie de positieve aspecten die uit de "deals" met Huawei en Android kunnen volgen.

Voor een beter begrip van de financiele kansen/bedreigingen is het van belang de financiele kaders te kennen van de betreffende deals.

Wat is het bedrag dat TT ontvangt cq betaalt aan de Techco om daar zijn product aan te kunnen bieden en wat is het bedrag dat TT ontvangt nadat een klant van de Techco besloten heeft om van de aanbieding gebruik te maken.

Hoeveel van de 100-den miljoenen bezitters van een device besluit om voor TT te kiezen en wat is dan de bate voor TT.
VB 12,99 incl BTW is 10,75 excl BTW.
Welk gedeelte van de 10,75 kan TT als omzet boeken nadat de provisie aan de Techco is uitbetaald.

Gezien het grote aantal deals dat TT heeft gesloten de afgelopen 2 jaar met deze Techco's verdenk ik TT ervan dat zij hebben gekozen voor het principe "massa is kassa" waardoor de baten in de beginperiode nog geen overweldigende indruk maken maar waarvan die omzetten in de loop van de tijd aan kunnen zwellen.

Als mogelijkheid heb ik al eens geopperd dat TT een door TT te betalen garantiebedrag heeft afgesproken met de Techco waarmee de ontvangsten uit de verdeelsleutel worden verminderd.

Dat zou een verklaring kunnen zijn van de tegenvallende cijfers bij Enterprise tot op heden.

Ook uit de verwijzing naar de developer store uit de post van @JTT komt volgens mij hetzelfde principe van zaaien eerst om daarna te oogsten naar voren.

Men tracht de developers te verleiden met gratis data en het ter beschikking stellen van professionele hulp bij het fabriceren van de API's.
