Ze zullen nog heel wat in percentage moeten stijgen vooraleer het iets zal worden maar aan een prijs van -0.01€ maakt het me ook geen snars uit.

While the New LUNA Records Gains, Do Kwon's Terraform Labs Is Plagued by Controversy and Accusations
It’s been two days since the Terra development team launched the new Phoenix-1 blockchain with the network’s native token LUNA. While the token dropped significantly in value during the first day of trading, the new LUNA has jumped 8.8% in value during the last 24 hours. Amid the token’s 24-hour rise, controversy continues to plague Do Kwon and Terraform Labs. Moreover, the old token, luna classic (LUNC), has been climbing in value as the crypto asset has gained more than 70% during the last day.

New LUNA Coin Jumps Over 8% Higher on Monday, Token Is Still Down More Than 64% From the Recent Price High
It’s been roughly more than 48 hours since the birth of the new Terra blockchain and crypto asset LUNA. During the first couple of hours of trading, the new LUNA changed hands at an all-time high (ATH) at $18.87 per coin. Presently, the price is 64% lower than the ATH, even with today’s gains. According to coinmarketcap.com stats, there’s 210,000,000 LUNA tokens in circulation, but the web portal notes the number is not 100% verified.

Ah, jammer, maar toch een redelijke prijs gekregen hoop ik?

Ik had er na de crash 1.200.000 gekocht rond 0,00013... vandaag iets meer dan 5 nieuwe erbij gekregen. Toch pure winst.. :-) Nu alle oude ingewisseld voor nieuwe, in totaal maar liefst 20 stuks. Wel overzichtelijker.. :-)

Project achter gecrashte terraUSD begint vrolijk met nieuwe cryptomunt

Zou de 'master van de stablecoins' zijn lesje hebben geleerd? Do Kwon schepte graag op over zijn populaire cryptomunt terraUSD, die dankzij een vaste waarde van $1 een ideaal oppotmiddel was voor handelaren die wilden bijkomen van alle koersschommelingen. Totdat investeerders ook deze 'veilige haven' niet meer vertrouwden, en zo'n $50 mrd drie weken geleden in rook opging.

Dat flikt hij niet nog een keer, zou je zeggen. Maar terraUSD was eigenlijk al 'nog een keer'. Ruim een jaar geleden mislukte namelijk de vergelijkbare stablecoin Basis Cash. Ook dit was een munt van Kwon, onthulde de website Coindesk. En in beide gevallen hadden ingewikkelde algoritmes en handelsmechanismen hem op $1 moeten houden.

Dat eerste experiment kostte investeerders zo'n $50 mln. Pijnlijk, maar dagelijkse kost in de cryptowereld. Het drama rond terraUSD kostte zo'n duizend keer zoveel. Het was een van de grootste cryptocrashes in de geschiedenis, en dat zegt wel wat.

Maar Kwons zelfvertrouwen blijkt onverwoestbaar. Hij blaast de luna, de gecrashte cryptomunt die terraUSD op $1 had moeten houden, nieuw leven in. Is driemaal scheepsrecht? De munt ging niet in no time van $85 naar $0,01, zoals drie weken geleden gebeurde. Al kende de nieuwe luna wel een slechte start: hij zakte direct na de lancering van bijna $20 naar minder dan $9.

Volgens Coinmarketcap heeft de gereanimeerde munt nu in totaal een waarde van zo'n $1,7 mrd, en er lijkt vraag naar te zijn. Investeerders worden niet meer gelokt met onhoudbare rendementen van 20%: mensen die nog durven in te stappen krijgen 7%. En, heel belangrijk: de luna wordt dit keer niet aan een instabiele stablecoin gekoppeld.

Op zich goed nieuws voor de miljoenen mensen die geld hebben verloren. Zij kregen een groot deel van de nieuwe luna's uitgekeerd, waarmee ze een klein deel van hun verliezen kunnen goedmaken.

Kwon begint op Twitter weer praatjes te krijgen. Of hij denkt dat de nieuwe luna groter wordt dan zijn gecrashte project? Ja, dat denkt hij. Critici zijn sceptisch en verbouwereerd over zijn wederopstanding. 'Cool', antwoordt hij nonchalant.

Maar het is de vraag of hij goed slaapt. Er circuleren verhalen van mensen die al hun geld aan hem hadden toevertrouwd. Om te kunnen studeren, om hun hypotheek af te kunnen betalen. Zij zijn alles kwijt. Zelfmoordpreventielijnen werden volop gedeeld op cryptofora.

Het drama zal Kwon en zijn nieuwe munt achtervolgen. Het Koreaanse openbaar ministerie overweegt hem te vervolgen vanwege ponzifraude, meldden lokale media. Bezittingen van zijn luna-stichting dreigen bevroren te worden, vanwege vermoedens van belastingontduiking. En nu de eerste schadeclaims binnendruppelen, is het de vraag of Do Kwon wel een derde kans krijgt.
