According to the organization, the sector is in a mature phase, as 40.5% of companies do not expect to open any new gyms by the end of 2025, compared to only 2.4% at the beginning of the year. Regarding risks, competition has emerged as the main challenge to companies' business models , surpassing rising energy costs for the first time.
The industry's response to increased competition has involved redefining its value proposition . Service personalization has reached 35.2% as a customer acquisition strategy, its highest point ever and more than ten percentage points higher than in 2024. Competing on price is disappearing as a strategy, whereas in 2024 it was still considered by 2.4% of companies.
