www.linkedin.com/posts/active-fneapl_...The Finance Bill has been rejected and sent back to the Senate, without the measure harmonizing VAT rates for commercial sports activities.
Active-FNEAPL acknowledges this situation, while reiterating the strategic importance of this measure to promote supervised physical activity and support a sector that contributes daily to health, well-being, and prevention. ?? As a reminder, the commercial sports and leisure sector faces a persistent tax distortion: some leisure or entertainment activities benefit from reduced rates, while gyms and supervised physical activity facilities remain taxed at 20%. The proposed harmonization had only one objective: to reward health-promoting practices, encourage physical activity, and strengthen the coherence of public policies. We now call on the Senate to fully address this issue so that this measure can move forward. Active-FNEAPL will continue its work with senators and the Government to ensure that commercial sports are recognized for their true value. ?? Our objective remains unchanged: to build a fiscal and social framework that truly supports the development of sport for all, prevention, and #sportshealth , for the benefit of employees, businesses, and the public interest. ?? We remain committed.
