CBM, through its subsidiary Diamond Wood China Limited, is building the first Accoya® factory in China to
support this shift to sustainable building materials. Governments across the region increasingly require
‘climate tech’ solutions, like Accoya® Wood, for newly built cities and suburbs, as populations grow and
countries become more urbanised.
The Group’s main operating business in Asia, Diamond Wood, has been FSC® certified since 2008, and this
certification covers the entire business. FSC is the gold standard for ensuring that the entire supply chain
works with sustainably grown forests, which are harvested and replanted regularly. The Accoya® Wood
manufacturing process has also been awarded the “Sustainable Production Technology Award” in the
Netherlands, in part due to how the key outputs are reused. The Group’s Accoya® Wood factory in China
will similarly make sustainable production the overriding criterion of its mission. The Chinese government
is a strong supporter of this approach.
CBM, through its subsidiary Diamond Wood China Limited, owns exclusive manufacturing rights to
Accoya® Wood in China and is in the process of establishing a new large scale Accoya® Wood factory in
China to meet the huge demand in the region.
