    Vreemde daling aan hoog volume op een eerder neutrale dag. Een partij die kost wat kost van haar stukken af wil? Er werd veel gedumpt en tegelijk ook veel blokken van +- 10K aandelen in de laat gezet. Zit al even in Onward en heb dus al wel wat meegemaakt zoals de meesten onder ons maar hier heb ik geen verklaring voor. Of het moest Kepler Cheuvreux zijn die een correctie aan hun advies hebben gebracht (geen FDA akkoord voor thuisgebruik in tegenstelling tot hun bewering) zonder dat dit advies door de media zou zijn opgepikt. Kans is klein.

    Beste Jma,

    Op vrijdag 30 mei werd het begrotingsvoorstel van de president voor het begrotingsjaar 2026 gepubliceerd. Het voorstel roept op tot de volledige afschaffing van het Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) , samen met andere bezuinigingen op essentiële programma's voor mensen met een beperking. Hoewel dit nieuws zeer verontrustend is, is de begroting van de president slechts een aanbeveling. Uiteindelijk is het Congres bevoegd om de definitieve financieringsniveaus voor elk begrotingsjaar vast te stellen.

    Als het Congres dit voorstel zou aannemen, zouden veel essentiële diensten, informatie en ondersteuning die mensen met een verlamming nodig hebben om een gezond en productief leven te leiden, worden stopgezet. Dit is simpelweg onacceptabel. Het is absoluut noodzakelijk dat we het Congres laten weten dat ze de stemmen van de verlammingsgemeenschap niet kunnen negeren, en we zullen niet passief toekijken terwijl de PRC en andere levensreddende programma's uit de federale begroting worden gehaald.

    June is a really big month for Onward.

    We start with the launch of the first paper of our economy programme, written by Gavin Rice - The Turnaround (https://ukonward.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=c1ba2c67c5235015b655da906&id=640e73d4ca&e=ba6dde5fd2). This focuses powerfully on the need for the UK to reindustrialise, and sets out our plans for a series of subsequent papers on this theme.

    Later this month, we will be publishing the first papers of our social contract and reshaping the state programmes - please keep your eyes peeled for these!

    Onward has also announced our first in class partnership with the Conservative Party to support its policy review, working with the Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Kevin Hollinrake, to come up with the right answers to build the homes Britain needs - and to build them well.

    Last week, Onward launched The Turnaround (https://ukonward.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=c1ba2c67c5235015b655da906&id=bd403b6486&e=ba6dde5fd2), the first paper in our Rebuilding the Economy programme by our Head of Political Economy, Gavin Rice. With a foreword by Director Sir Simon Clarke, it warns that Labour’s economic plans risk accelerating Britain’s deindustrialisation. The report sets out a radical centre-right policy approach to tackle the UK’s industrial decline, calling for:
        •    A new energy strategy to cut costs and improve supply
        •    Planning reform to enable growth and infrastructure
        •    Greater regional productivity to reduce fiscal dependency
        •    Less reliance on mass migration, and a focus on high-wage jobs

    Also this month, this month, Onward will launch its new research programme, Renewing the Social Contract, with a launch paper that transcends the material erosion of younger generations, to examine the causes and consequences of intergenerational unfairness, eroding trust in institutions, and growing disengagement from democratic politics. It will set out the purpose of a bold, centre-right agenda to renew the social contract and how to communicate the case for change, through objective material deliverables.

    Looking ahead to June, Onward will launch its Reshaping the State programme. This paper will lay out the fiscal challenges facing the government, looking at the shape of public service delivery at a national, local and individual level. It will make the case for a fundamental rethink of the incentive structures in government that have set public spending on a course that is wholly unsustainable, uncontrollable and unfair.

    Precies, dit gaat over een plan met de economie in het VK dat toevallig onward heet heeft niks met Onward medical te maken.

    Waarom denk je dat klinkt en is vriendelijker. Inderdaad waarom?.Het aandeel reageert steeds averechts op goed nieuws en de communicatie vanuit het bedrijf is uitermate pover en beperkt zich veelal tot filmpjes van tevreden patiënten. Tot slot wil men toestemming voor het recht tot extra aandelenuitgifte/verwatering. Ik vrees dat de kleinere aandeelhouder speelbal blijft.

    Onward gaat 100% zeker overgenomen worden. Het bedrijf is zelf te klein om alle fantastische kansen financieel te benutten. Ottobock heeft al een 10% (strategisch) belang. Er zou sprake zijn van samenwerkingen tussen beide bedrijven. Daar is al vast over nagedacht zou je denken wanneer Ottobock zo'n deelneming overweegt, maar wat dat betreft is het al meer dan een halfjaar stil en zitten ze met andere intenties op de eerste rang. Als thuisgebruik goedgekeurd wordt en zowel IM als BCI blijven zo verwachtingsvol, dan kan het sneller gaan dan menigeen denkt. Ook de gekke koersbewegingen laten mij dit denken. Je kunt beter maar voorbereid zijn......
