BBS kan het altijd leuk vertellen. Intussen denkt de markt er nog altijd anders over en dat geeft te denken.
Nu ben ik wel van mening dat als het management erin slaagt een langere cash runway dan 1 jaar weet te bewerkstelligen, de koers weer verder omhoog kan. Dat zou toch ergens dit jaar moeten gebeuren. We wachten zoals altijd af, meneer Anzalone...

Hij kent de parking van ARWR inderdaad beter dan een ander om op de koffie te gaan.
Bij elk aandeel zitten er wel enkelen die er meer over schrijven in de positieve zin.
Ik denk ook wel dat hij er wat belang bij heeft om de boel op te vrolijken.
Benieuwd naar zijn post na uitstekende data ;-)

Eerst werd met plozasiran ingezet op een kleine patiëntenpopulatie (kleiner dan 1.000) en kreeg het mede daardoor de status van een orphan drug.
Maar nu nemen ze voor fase 3 ook de patiënten mee met een TGs van boven de 880 mg, waardoor de populatie in één keer wordt vergroot tot 70.000-100.000.

Dat heeft dus mega-implicaties, want de drug wordt zo 70 tot 100 keer belangrijker (lees: meer potentiële inkomsten).

Laten ze eerst die fase 3 maar eens succesvol afronden. We zijn al veel te vaak lekker gemaakt met doelen die niet haalbaar bleken. Maar een patiëntenpopulatie van tegen de 100.000 is idd geen kattenpis. 10k per behandeling is dan al garant voor 1 miljard aan inkomsten.

(NASDAQ: ARWR) today announced that it has initiated an Expanded Access Program (EAP) to make investigational plozasiran available outside of a clinical trial for patients with familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS) who meet certain program eligibility criteria. Arrowhead will also present new final Phase 2 clinical data from the double-blind portion of the SHASTA-2 study of plozasiran in a late-breaking oral presentation at the upcoming American College of Cardiology 73rd Annual Scientific Session & Expo (ACC.24), being held in Atlanta on April 6-8, 2024.

About Plozasiran

Plozasiran, previously called ARO-APOC3, is a first-in-class investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic designed to reduce production of Apolipoprotein C-III (APOC3) which is a component of triglyceride rich lipoproteins (TRLs) and a key regulator of triglyceride metabolism. APOC3 increases triglyceride levels in the blood by inhibiting breakdown of TRLs by lipoprotein lipase and uptake of TRL remnants by hepatic receptors in the liver. The goal of treatment with plozasiran is to reduce the level of APOC3, thereby reducing triglycerides and restoring lipids to more normal levels.

In multiple clinical studies, investigational plozasiran demonstrated reductions in triglycerides and multiple atherogenic lipoproteins in patients with familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS), severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG), and mixed dyslipidemia (MD). Plozasiran has demonstrated a favorable safety profile to date with treatment emergent adverse events reported that reflect the comorbidities and underlying conditions of the study populations. Plozasiran is currently being investigated in the Phase 3 PALISADE clinical study in patients with FCS, which is on schedule to be completed in the middle of 2024. Phase 2 studies in patients with SHTG and MD, SHASTA-2 and MUIR respectively, are complete and additional Phase 3 studies are planned to begin shortly.

Een EAP voor FCS. Ik begrijp er weer geen drol van. Is een EAP een soort fase 3 studie om het doelgroep uit te breiden?

Ik begrijp wel dat we nog steeds midden dit jaar voor het eerst fase 3 uitslagen kunnen verwachten. Is een EAP dan positief?
