AG William Barr
1MDB Corruptie schandaal van $ 4,6 billion.

Het heeft er alle schijn van dat AG Barr het Mueller rapport onder het tapijt probeert te schuiven.
Dit in het voordeel van Trump en GOP leden.

Nu heeft de Senior Counsel to the President, Scott F. Gast, een waiver ondertekend. William Barr zijn vroegere law firm is betrokken bij het 1MDB coruptie schandaal. Op ethische gronden kan AG Barr zich niet met de rechtsgang rond 1MDB bemoeien. Echter deze waiver stelt hem in staat dit wel te doen.

Bij het 1MDB corruptie schandaal zijn GOP leden betrokken. Onder anderen Elliott Broidy, voormalig RNC (republican national committee) vice financial chairman.
Barr heeft nu de mogelijkheid deze GOP leden vrij te waren van rechtsvervolging.

Twitter heeft een netwerk van 5.000 pro-Trump twitter bots verwijderd.
De bots kwamen uit Saudi Arabie.

Moest vandaag verschijnen voor een subpoena van het Huis van Afgevaardigden. Is echter niet gekomen.

Elyah Cummings heeft daarop een persbericht doen uitgaan.
" I intend to consult with White House Counsel and Committee about scheduling a vote on contempt."

Op contempt van het Huis van Afgevaardigden staat een straf van max 1 jaar en/of boete van max $ 1.000.

AG Barr heeft waiver voor DOJ onderzoek naar 1 MDB corruptie schandaal.

Niet alleen enkele Amerikanen zijn betrokken bij dit schandaal.
Ook de hoofdverdachte Jho Low heeft geld uit het 1 MDB schandaal gebruikt om geld te doneren aan het Trump Victory Committee. Er loopt onderzoek door EDNY(Eastern District of New York) rechtbank naar bedragen, van $ 100.000 donatie en $1,5 million via andere kanalen, die naar het Trump Victory Fund zijn gesluisd.

Barr krijgt nu op Federaal en in New York op staatsniveau inzage in deze aanklachten.

Is Barr neutraal als Attorney General of laat hij zich leiden door Trump?

Dat Trump wil praten met Twitter CEO over sociale media is nog tot daar aan toe.

Dat hij dan zijn beklag gaat doen dat hij zo veel volgers kwijtraakt en vraagt hoe dat komt, lijkt mij niet correct.
Twitter heeft geen contract met de President om zijn Twitter Tweet product te verkopen. Twitter hoeft hem ook niet te adviseren hoe hij kan voorkomen volgers kwijt te raken.

Twitter is geen propaganda medium van het Trump Twitter Tweet merk.

White House senior adviser and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner said Tuesday that investigations into election interference by Russia have been “way more harmful” than the interference itself, which he characterized as “a couple Facebook ads.”

In a rare public appearance, Kushner spoke about the special counsel and congressional investigations at the Time 100 Summit in New York.

“Quite frankly, the whole thing’s just a big distraction for the country,” Kushner said. “You look at, you know, what Russia did, buying some Facebook ads, to try to sow dissent .?.?. and it’s a terrible thing, but I think the investigations and all the speculation that happened for the past two years has had a much harsher impact on democracy than a couple Facebook ads.”

Kushner, who was heavily involved in Trump’s campaign, said it spent far more on Facebook ads in a matter of hours than the Russians did.

Mueller’s report concluded that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election “in sweeping and systematic fashion.”

The interference included both a social media campaign that favored Trump and disparaged Democrat Hillary Clinton, and the hacking of computers maintained by allies of Clinton and the subsequent releases of stolen documents.

The report did not find sufficient evidence to bring charges of criminal conspiracy with Russia against Trump or anyone associated with his campaign. It did not offer a conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice.

The Interior Department’s Office of Inspector General has opened an investigation into whether six of President Trump’s appointees have violated federal ethics rules by engaging with their former employers or clients on department-related business.

The new inquiry, which the office confirmed in an April 18 letter to the nonprofit Campaign Legal Center, is looking into senior Interior officials, including Assistant Secretary for Insular and International Affairs Doug Domenech, White House liaison Lori Mashburn, three top staffers at the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs, and the department’s former energy policy adviser. The Campaign Legal Center detailed the officials’ actions in a Feb. 20 letter to the inspector general’s office, suggesting a probe is warranted.

To avoid conflicts of interest, Trump signed an executive order days after taking office that requires appointees to recuse themselves from specific matters involving their former employers and clients for two years. The complaint, which cites reports in HuffPost and the Guardian as well as extensive public records, outlines how a half-dozen political appointees at Interior continued to discuss policy matters with organizations that had employed them in the past.

Delaney Marsco, ethics counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, said in a phone interview Tuesday that the inquiry shows that the president and his top deputies have failed allegedly to deliver on Trump’s 2016 campaign promise to “drain the swamp” in Washington.
