Onlangs is gebleken dat niet alle plantaardige bakolie zo gezond is.
Nu de prangende vraag; hoe verhoudt de olie van Solazyme zich tot de vergelijkbare olien?

Sola is gedaald sinds 7 maart 2014 met 77%
aandlene kiezen met veeel idealisme in hun bedrijfsdoelstelling is ,imo geen beste keuze ?

vergelijk het door NE adviseurs destijds geprezen aandeel Thenergo(Bio gas etc)
vanaf 2007 tot nu : 2000 euro naar 2 (onder de naam doorgegaan als ABO)

enige dagen terug al besproken op Yahoo, Roquette verliest haar beroep tegen de arbitrage uitspraak van afgelopen februari.

Solazyme heeft nu een PR uitgebracht.

Roquette zal wel blijven strijden. Jim Lane van biofuels digest vergelijkt Roquette met ... De Zwarte Ridder. En die kennen we hier allemaal...

Rechter Robinson weigert mee te gaan in de nogal bizarre redenering van Roquette dat zij gehinderd worden in de concurrentie met Solazyme doordat ze geen gebruik van de Solazyme patenten mogen maken... Zo krom dat je bijna aan jezelf gaat twijfelen. Gelukkig staat het recht op patenten in de Amerikaanse grondwet!

(als u het aangehaalde artikel van Jim Lane uit februari nog niet kent, getiteld The Great Algae Robbery; lees het! Het is nu al een klassieker in de bedrijfseconomische verslaggeving).

Leuk artikel over Soylent, de maaltijdvervanger die een moeilijke start heeft overleefd en nu wat betere marketing heeft.

Ja, Soylent bevat diverse ingredienten en Solazyme's product is er 1 van.

The solution was developed over a year and a half along with the US biotech company Solazyme and their team here in Brazil. The new product, called DEHYTON® TO 45, is a different betaine of others because it is produced from microalgae oils in the process of fermentation of sugarcane, with low carbon emissions and less impact of use of water and land.

Heel veel te verteren... er lijkt support voor de nieuwe richting:

Naam veranderd in TerraVia

Alleen nog Food business, de rest wordt afgestoten (hoe nog onduidelijk)

Gaat ook Algenist weg...?

Zoekt CEO met Food kennis (hier zit Bunge achter, en dat is prima!)

Investeerders leggen nog eens 28 miljoen dollar neer (ook Bunge?)

Motley Fool is sceptisch en hoewel ik altijd optimistisch ben over Solazyme, pardon... TerraVia, is er tot op heden meer reden voor scepsis

@Doewap,

Ik zit al een tijdje in Solazyme,met verlies tot nog toe moet ik eerlijk zeggen, maar ik geloofde in de transitie die het bedrijf tijdje geleden al aan gaf te willen maken: van een oliesector gerelateerd bedrijf naar voedingssector ( en dan nog wel specifiek hoogwaardige , gezonde ingredienten), een trend waar in Amerika nog veel terrein te winnen is.
