Conservative lawyers Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing, who this year took on as a client an oligarch at the center of the Ukraine scandal, also represent the conservative columnist who has advanced Trump-friendly claims of corruption in Kyiv.

“John Solomon has been a client of our firm for a very long time,” Joe diGenova told POLITICO on Thursday. “He’s a journalist and he has legal needs, like many journalists.”

A series of articles Solomon published about Ukraine were mentioned in an anonymous complaint by an intelligence community whistleblower, which characterized Solomon’s work as part of the “circumstances leading up to” Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In that call, Trump asked Zelensky to investigate the Bidens and “get to the bottom of” Ukraine’s alleged interference in the 2016 election.

Solomon, who is now a Fox News contributor, also featured in documents the State Department’s Inspector General gave Congress earlier this month that revealed a campaign to smear Yovanovitch and the Bidens.

Solomon was the first to report on an affidavit obtained from Firtash by his lawyers, Toensing and diGenova, who are also Solomon’s lawyers. He was also first to report on the Uranium One informant who was being represented at the time by Toensing.

Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing didn’t quite make the cut to become President Donald Trump’s attorneys in late March.

But you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re billing Trump by the hour.

Since a plan for the husband-wife duo to represent the president was announced and then aborted, the lawyer-pundits have appeared at least 37 times on Fox News alone.

Even as Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani acts as a kind of emissary to mainstream news outlets from POLITICO to CNN to the New York Times, diGenova and Toensing serve as no-holds-barred messengers to Trump’s base, lambasting special counsel Robert Mueller and his Russia investigation in mostly conservative outlets. The couple sometimes appear together on the same Fox program, or follow one another in back-to-back hours with different hosts.

Erdogan vraagt Trump de Kurdische legerleider Mazloum Kobani Abdi uit te leveren aan Turkije.

Erdogan noemt Mazloum Abdi een "wanted terrorist" met een interpol red notice.

Met militaire steun van de US heeft de SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces, Kurden) de ISIS bevochten onder leiding van Mazloum Kobani Abdi. Meer dan 10.000 Kurdische vechters zijn hierbij om het leven gekomen.

Erdogan ziet de Kurden die met de SDF vochten als een verlengstuk van de PKK. Erdogan ziet de PKK als een terroristische organisatie die Kurdische autonomie binnen Turkije al decennia lang bepleit.

Erdogan brengt op 13 november een bezoek aan het Witte Huis.

Maria Butina, Russische, legde jaren voorafgaand aan de 2016 presidentsverkiezing contacten met leden van de NRA (National Rifle Organization) en de GOP.
Haar baas, Alexander Torshin, een Russische ex-bankier, zorgde voor financiering van de NRA. De NRA gebruikte dit geld om de campagne van Trump ($ 30 miljoen) en individuele GOP leden te sponsoren in hun verkiezingsstrijd in 2016.

Men beschouwt John Bolton als een "star witness" en verwacht dat zijn getuigenis vernietigend zal zijn voor Trump en Trump's cronies.

John Bolton maakt afspraken om te getuigen

Eerder al getuigde Fiona Hill voor het House Committee over de ontwikkelingen van Trump en Oekraïne.
Fiona Hill, NSC (National Security Council) is gespecialiseerd in former Soviet Union, Russian and European Affairs.

Zij verklaarde toen onder andere dat John Bolton (toen NSA (National Security Adviser)) haar waarschuwde om de top advocaat van de NSC in te lichten. Bolton maakte zich zorgen over de activiteiten in de onderhandelingen met Oekraine. Bolton was het niet eens met de acties van Gordon Sondland(US Ambassadeur bij de EU), Rudy Giuliani (Trump's persoonlijke advocaat) en Mick Mulvaney( Acting (ad interim) Chief of Staff in the White House).
Namens Trump hielden zij toegezegde militaire steun tegen en wilden dit pas vrijgeven nadat de President van Oekraine een onderzoek naar Joe Biden wilde doen.

John Bolton noemde hun acties een "drugdeal" en bestempelde Rudy Giuliani als een "handgranaat".

John Bolton heeft volgens de getuigenis van Fiona Hill gezegd :
" I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland and Mulvaney are cooking up."

Trump laat begrotingstekort VS oplopen tot bijna $1000 miljard

ASHINGTON (ANP/BLOOMBERG) - Het Amerikaanse begrotingstekort is het afgelopen boekjaar met ruim een kwart gestegen tot net geen biljoen dollar, namelijk 984 miljard dollar om precies te zijn. Dat blijkt uit gegevens van het Amerikaanse ministerie van Financiën.
Het is het vierde jaar op rij dat het begrotingstekort oploopt. Daarmee is het tekort op weg naar historische proporties. Volgend jaar wordt de kaap van een biljoen geslecht. Afgezet tegen het bruto nationaal product is het tekort nu 4,6 procent. Ter vergelijking: dat was onder Trumps voorganger Barack Obama nog 2,2 procent.
Volgens minister van Financiën Steve Mnuchin „werken” de economische plannen van Trump. Critici stellen juist dat de overheid financieel orde op zaken zou moeten stellen voordat economisch gezien slechtere tijden aanbreken, in plaats van nu met geld te smijten dat moet worden geleend, zo stelde een economische belangengroep onder leiding van een vroeger staflid van oud-president Bill Clinton.

Debat

In de VS is een nationaal debat ontstaan over de toegang tot AR-15's - een van de meest verkochte wapens - en enkele andere geweren. De wapens worden steeds vaker gebruikt bij schietpartijen waardoor veel mensen omkomen. De roep om een algeheel wapenverbod wordt bij veel Amerikanen steeds groter, maar president Trump weigert zo’n verbod tot nu toe in te stellen.

Trump zei in augustus dat zijn regering ‘nog altijd zinvolle gesprekken voert’ met de Democraten in het Congres over ‘een of andere vorm van wapenwetgeving’. Aanleiding voor deze gesprekken waren de schietpartijen in Dayton en El Paso waarbij in totaal 31 doden en tientallen gewonden vielen.

Trump zei tegen verslaggevers dat hij ondanks de gesprekken een fel voorstander blijft van het recht van Amerikanen om wapens te bezitten. De Democraten hebben actie van Trump geëist. Zo willen ze dat er wetgeving komt die het gebruik van wapenmagazijnen met een hoge capaciteit munitie verbiedt.
