trump zou dus zomaar weer eens herkozen kunnen worden en hij vindt zelf dat hij goed bezig is
of de USA goed bezig is betwijfel ik.

Alles kan in Amerika.
Ik denk dat het beter is af te wachten wat de rechtszaken wordt. Als Donald juridisch niet in de gevangenis komt of een ander alternatief dat hij evt huisarrest krijgt en absoluut niet meer met de media enz contacten mag hebben. Dan is Amerika verloren, dan wordt het een 2e Duitsland jaren 40.

en hier komt de donderslag : Marc Short, die tijdens de regering-Trump de rechterhand van Mike Pence was (en nu nog steeds adviseur voor Mike Pence), werkt volledig mee met de onderzoekscommissie naar de 6-januari-opstand.

One provision in the fiscal 2016 National Defense Authorization Act that President Obama recently vetoed would have forced the Defense Department to look at putting an intelligence complex at Lajes Field in the Azores, which is part of Portugal.

U.S. European Command wants to put the complex at Royal Air Force Croughton in England, but the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence believes that defense officials intentionally overlooked Lajes as a potential site and that that decision will cost taxpayers money.

"The requirements were to look at some sites in Germany, some sites in Belgium — or BENELUX, which is the greater Luxembourg, Belgium area — and the U.K.," Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said "You don't even have to do a study to know when those are your requirements, you're going to end up with the U.K .as your site because there were so many bases in the U.K. that they could use."

Nunes is a member of the Congressional Portuguese American Caucus, and his family emigrated from the Azores. He said that he and other lawmakers have been pressing the Defense Department for years to find new missions for Lajes amid the department’s plan to downsize the U.S. presence there.

"What we said was: 'Look, we've got a great asset at Lajes; you need to look to use that facility — not for refueling — because we know that that mission could be downgraded, but we know that the cost of doing business in continental Europe is exorbitant,' " Nunes told Air Force Times in an interview.

The cost-of-living allowance and housing allowance for U.S. personnel can run about $4,000 per month in Great Britain, compared with about $1,200 per month at Lajes, a congressional staffer told Air Force Times. Factoring in the cost of inflation, the Defense Department could save between $39 million and $46 million a year on those benefits alone by putting the intelligence center at Lajes, the staffer said.

Het plan van Donald Trump om zijn nieuwe socialemediabedrijf naar de beurs te brengen wordt nader onderzocht door Amerikaanse beursautoriteiten. Naar nu blijkt heeft de Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) begin november documenten aangevraagd die opheldering moeten geven.

De voormalige president van de Verenigde Staten wil voor zijn Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) een beursnotering op Nasdaq realiseren via een fusie met een lege beurshuls, genaamd Digital World Acquisition Group. In zo'n geval hoeft de beursnotering niet gepaard te gaan met de nodige formaliteiten, en dat scheelt kosten.

Donald Trump was als president een fervent gebruiker van Twitter om zijn boodschappen de wereld in te sturen. Aangezien hij daar na de bestorming van Het Capitool begin dit jaar niet meer welkom op is, wil hij zijn eigen dienst opzetten, met de naam Truth Social.

Het nieuwe platform, dat met behulp van 'non-woke entertainment' ook wil concurreren met streamingdiensten Netflix en Disney+, moet begin 2022 worden uitgerold. Digital World Acquisition Group is vlak na de door Trump verloren verkiezingen begonnen door Patrick Orlando, een oud-derivatenhandelaar bij Deutsche Bank.

De Amerikaanse, Democratische senator Elizabeth Warren had de SEC al gevraagd de voorgenomen fusie van Trumps mediabedrijf met Digital World te onderzoeken vanwege mogelijke schendingen van de effectenwetgeving. Daarbij wilde ze te weten komen of de twee bedrijven voldoende informatie hadden verstrekt over het moment dat ze hun besprekingen waren begonnen.

Bij de bekendmaking van de transactie, eind oktober, explodeerde de koers van Digital World Acquisition Group van nog geen tien dollar naar $94,40. Intussen is de aandelenkoers weer gedaald, maar noteert het aandeel nog altijd $43,81.

Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff to Donald Trump, has pulled out of a tentative cooperation agreement with the Hill's Jan. 6 investigators, suggesting through his lawyer that the select committee on the Capitol riot planned to ask him about matters he considers off-limits because of executive privilege.

Meadows’ attorney, George Terwilliger III, also revealed that the panel had subpoenaed Meadows' private phone records from a telecom company, a revelation he said influenced his decision to pull back from their earlier arrangement.

CNN : Public Wise, een verkiezingsrechten-organisatie, heeft een database opgebouwd waaruit blijkt dat bijna 200 deelnemers aan de 6-januari-opstand een politieke baan hebben veroverd of zich verkiesbaar hebben gesteld. Deze opstandelingen zijn terug te vinden in allerlei lagen van het politieke bestel. Van lokale beambten en gemeenteraden, tot Staats-banen, en zelfs tot het Federale Congres.

De CEO van Public Wise zegt dat dit onder invloed van Donald J Trump gebeurt, om zijn handlangers te integreren op ieder bestuurlijk niveau. En dat, zegt zij, is een direct gevaar voor de verkiezingen van 2022 en 2024.
