Campina lonkt naar Friesland Foods
HENK ENGELENBURG

ZALTBOMMEL - Campina, met euro 3,6 mrd omzet de tweede zuivelcoöperatie van Nederland, noemt een eventuele fusie met Friesland Foods, met euro 4,7 mrd omzet de nummer één, 'aanlokkelijk'.

'We zijn nu niet in gesprek met Friesland Foods', zegt ceo Tiny Sanders, 'maar we sluiten niets uit.'

Sanders reageert op uitlatingen van Friesland Foods tien dagen geleden. Deze coöperatie zei gereed te zijn voor grote overnames of fusies, al gaat autonome groei nog boven een grote nationale zuivelfusie. Sanders neemt hetzelfde standpunt in.

'Als een fusie goed is voor de melkveehouders, zijn wij verplicht ernaar te kijken.' Hij benadrukt dat beide coöperaties elkaar uitstekend aanvullen. Campina wil posities uitbouwen in Azië, waar Friesland Foods dat al gedaan heeft. Campina is zeer groot in melk en kaas, terwijl Friesland Foods een gigant is in kaas en melkpoeder. Ook vraagt de machtsstrijd met de retailers om een verdere krachtenbundeling aan de zijde van de producenten.

Sanders ziet ook bezwaren, zoals problemen met mededinging en met de nv-structuur die Friesland Foods zich als coöperatie heeft aangemeten. Sanders: 'Nogmaals, we zijn niet in gesprek met Friesland Foods. Maar in geval ván zouden we een structuur kunnen vinden om er samen uit te komen.'

Peter, hoe kom je aan die wijsheid v.w.b. Ford??

Vodafone is overigens al uit de begintijd van Accolade.............en dan hebben we het over Sept. 2001.

Accolade bij Cytec Surface Specialties komt voort uit de overnamedeal vanuit UCB, die enkele maanden daarvoor Accolade had aangeschaft..........oktober 2004 dus.

Uit het artikel kun je alleen halen dat Sopheon interessant wordt omdat grote bedrijven als Ford etc nadruk leggen op innovatie. Niet dat ze daarbij Sopheon inzetten. Wat weer niet wil zeggen dat het niet zo is, maar je kunt er hier geen bevestiging van zien.
