As said above in a comment in this article on CO2 capture, I am very pleased, that you talked in your comment about The Oxygenator and about upwelling phytoplankton nutrients and as such please find my thinking after studying the hot El Nino west-east current and the very cold Al Nina east-west current at the Pacific Oceaan Equator.
- CO2 when absorbed in preferably colder seawater combines with phyto-plankton nutrients and is converted to calcite = calcium-carbonate, this is at least happening for the renewal and repair of the Great Barrier Corral Reefs during each cold Al Nina east-west current from cold upwelling Antartic oceaan water with upwelling phyto plankton nutrients and under influence of sunlight photosynthesis, this upwelling is creating a very cold Al Nina full of phytoplankton nutrients current at the Pacific Oceaan equator and as such an on average 8 year long east-west current from north-west of South-America towards Indonesia - Australia and the Great Barrier Reef recycle and repair of the Great Barrier Reef Corrals.
- To my honest of knowledge, these phytoplankton nutrients with CO2, producing calcite-calcium carbonate under influence of sunlight photosynthesis, and at the same time this cold 2 meter higher oceaanlevel water do repair the Great Barrier Reef Corrals and calcite calcium carbonate drops to the oceaan floor or/and repairs corral reefs.
- Too low ocean levels above the Corral reefs, penetrating hot sunlight and hot oceaan water create destruction of the Great Barriers Reef Corrals during very hot El Nino`s west-east currents, which drop oceaan levels at the Great Barrier Reef Corrals with about 2 meters and as such penetrating sunlight with hot 28 to 30 degrees celcius low level oceaan water gives Great Barrier Corral Reefs bleaching and destroy nutrients and as such give destruction of the Great Barrier Reef Corrals.
- Every hot El Nino last about 3 years and repeats itself usually with the eleven year Sun magnetic sunspot activity cycle.
- As such we can expect about every 11-12 years a 3-year long very hot El Nino Great Barrier Reef Corrals bleaching and after that an 8 year on average rather cold Al Nina Great Barrier Reef phytoplankton nutients, CO2, calcium-carbonate forming repair period.
- To my best of knowledge there is no truth in the carbonic acid theory, decreasing the pH of our oceans, usually about 8.1 to 8.2 on average.
Hope my honest explanation is comprehensible?
