Over the years, we have grown rapidly with multiple factories scaling around the globe. With this rapid growth there has been duplication of roles and job functions in certain areas. As we prepare the company for our next phase of growth, it is extremely important to look at every aspect of the company for cost reductions and increasing productivity.
As part of this effort, we have done a thorough review of the organization and made the difficult decision to reduce our headcount by more than 10% globally. There is nothing I hate more, but it must be done. This will enable us to be lean, innovative and hungry for the next growth phase cycle.
I would like to thank everyone who is departing Tesla for their hard work over the years. I'm deeply grateful for your many contributions to our mission and we wish you well in your future opportunities.
It is very difficult to say goodbye.
For those remaining, I would like to thank you in advance for the difficult job that remains ahead. We are developing some of the most revolutionary technologies in auto, energy and artificial intelligence. As we prepare the company for the next phase of growth, your resolve will make a huge difference in getting us there.

Hmmm ik zou toch eens aanraden om de automotive beter te onderzoeken…. BMW (geen concurrent aangezien dat een luxe merk is en tesla overduidelijk niet) is bezig met self driving level 4 terwijl tesla op 3 blijft hangen… je selling point of over robots lijkt me ook wat voorbarig… BMW in de usa fabriek in Spartanburg werkt al met robots… het lijkt erop dat ze gewoon flink achterlopen… de Chinezen en Stellantis vegen tesla eraf in het lage segment.. en het product tesla zelf is simpel weg te slecht voor een luxe product… zie het weinig hoopvol… maarja Amerikaanse autobouwers hebben nog nooit een pepernoot gepresteerd en tesla behalve een opgeblazen boerskoers ook niet…. 1,8 M auto’s is niet echt indrukwekkend voor een massa autobouwer…

Trump Media gaat ook door het putje, investors rennen eruit nu het jaarverslag 2023 werd gedeedl vorige week

Musk heeft vele 10-tallen miljarden in aandelen opgestreken maar het onderbetaalde 'voetvolk' moet wijken. Ik ben voor het kapitalistisch systeem omdat dit innovatie en welvaart brengt en mensen stimuleert om persoonlijk te excelleren. Maar hier laat kapitalisme zich wel van zijn meest slechte zijde zien door exorbitante zelfverrijking. Je zou je moeten schamen nog een Tesla te rijden en daarmee support te geven aan Musk.
